ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT

Sel-Tek Limited is committed to preserving our natural resources and protecting the air, water, and land of our environment. We support and encourage recycling and all actions to reduce the solid waste produced in our operations. Sel-Tek Ltd. also supports efforts to make its delivered products and their packaging recyclable, recoverable and/or reusable. Furthermore, we are committed to reducing, and wherever possible, eliminating the use and release of any toxic and hazardous materials from our operations. 

Sel-Tek Ltd is therefore committed to; 

1. Promoting awareness and understanding of environmental issues among all staff, customers and vendors as well as the external community;  

2. Developing and implementing a series of curriculum studies which fundamentally promotes an understanding of the environment; 

3. Managing and conserving energy and water efficiently within all its premises;  

4. Reducing waste of natural resources, promoting waste reduction and recycling, and through its tendering and purchasing procedures, promoting sustainable development;  

5. When material has to be disposed of as a last resort we shall exercise “Duty of Care” in using traceable waste management operators in dealing with all aspects of material disposal especially that which is hazardous in nature;

6. We shall seek to continue and improve our Environmental Management System and operate it to the standards expected of ISO 14001 accreditation; 

These Policy commitments will be co-ordinated and reviewed by Sel-Tek Ltd directors on a six monthly review, minutes of which will be made available.

Sel-Tek Ltd act in accordance with the Waste Electronic & Electrical Equipment directive. Our agent for the recycling and disposal of these products are; 

Newhouse Electronics, 

15 Mosshall Road, 

Newhouse Industrial Estate, 

Motherwell ML1 5RX. 

Equipment handled: IT & Office equipment, Electronic PCB’s & Telecommunications equipment.  

Activities: Recycling materials and / or components for all of the above. 

Specialist Activities: Precious metal refining. Component reclaim.
